IDnow Online-Ident

IDnow Online-Ident is an online verification app that allows you to digitally confirm your identity and sign documents over the Internet. This means you can avoid waiting in long lines at the post office or bank. To use IDnow Online-Ident, you have two options:

IDnow VideoIdent: an expert confirms your identity

The first option is IDnow VideoIdent. You will connect to a video call with an identity verification specialist who will guide you. You will need some form of ID to carry out your desired procedure.

IDnow eID: use your ID card with NFC

The second option is IDnow eID. You need your German electronic ID card with NFC to use this option. With it, you can use your mobile device's NFC as a card reader and transfer the eID of your card to the device for verification.

After verifying through one of the two verification methods, you can access IDnow eSign. This will allow you to sign documents from anywhere without going to a physical location or using additional hardware.
